2Pi-Jobs is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
DT Global has been engaged by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to manage the Building Community Engagement in Papua New Guinea (BCEP) Program. BCEP represents a significant investment in promoting participatory democracy in PNG, with a goal to strengthen citizen-government engagement for improved service delivery and provision of public goods.

Job Responsibilities

Tertiary qualifications in gender studies, international development, social sciences or related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
Extensive experience in transformative GEDSI practice, including gender equality, disability inclusion, and social inclusion in development programs.
Strong technical expertise in behaviour change communication and/or social norms change, with demonstrated ability to guide behaviour change communication strategies and materials.
Ability to think and work politically including analysing political economy dynamics and identifying strategic opportunities for GEDSI driven change.
Proven experience coaching, mentoring and building capacity of personnel.
Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders, such as civil society organisations, women’s rights groups, disability networks, and government actors.
High level communication, facilitation, and analytical skills, including the ability to produce high quality reports, case studies, and knowledge products.

Other Educational Qualification

Background in political economy analysis, adaptive programming, or systems change approaches.

Skills

Experience working in Papua New Guinea or Melanesia, or strong understanding of the region’s social, cultural, and political context.
Experience supporting coalitions, networks, or collective action initiatives related to GEDSI.
