Job Responsibilities
Develop and update the dedicated window in the Special Representative's internet page. The updates will be directly provided through the online update web tool and trackable.
Child participation digital map set up.
Support managing the social media campaign platforms in line with the Office’s social media strategy prepared and rolled out to mobilize and raise awareness to eliminate all form of violence against children.
Children dialogues
Country missions
Event organization
6 progress reports that include: main highlights/updates on the dedicated window in the Special Representative's internet page, child participation digital map developments, new OSRSG VAC website and new Pathfinding tab development updates.
Produce at least 100 media assets (posts, videos) to be uploaded to the four social media platforms: X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram
6 communication unit impact assessments conducted
6 child participation dialogues including logistics, invitations, registration organized
12 end of field mission press conferences and press releases organized in the coordination with UNICEF teams
A set of materials including banners, backdrops, etc. prepared for the OSRSG VAC organized event
Other Educational Qualification
Advanced university degree (Masters) in the area of International Development, Law, Political Science, International Relations, or any other discipline relevant to human rights. A first-level university degree in combination with two years of relevant qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Skills
At least 2 years of progressively professional experience in a field related to human rights.
Excellent knowledge of international human rights instruments required.
Experience working in the Middle East and North Africa Region and or Latin America and the Caribbean is an asset.
Ability to work and adapt professionally and to work effectively in a multicultural team.
Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment.
Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines.
Fluency and excellent drafting skills in English.

Any other estimated costs: visa, health insurance, and living costs as applicable.

Any emergent / unforeseen duty travel and related expenses will be covered by UNICEF.
At the time the contract is awarded, the selected candidate must have in place current health insurance coverage.
Payment of professional fees will be based on submission of agreed satisfactory deliverables. UNICEF reserves the right to withhold payment in case the deliverables submitted are not up to the required standard or in case of delays in submitting the deliverables on the part of the consultant.
