Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in any discipline

Other Educational Qualification

  • Education: A university degree in one of the following fields is required: Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, or another relevant technical field.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in monitoring and social policy is required.

Skills

  • Experience in the areas of socioeconomic research and analysis, statistical analysis, child poverty and social protection.
  • Good technical understanding of both quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques and research methods. Solid analytical skills with an ability to analyse complex socioeconomic data and research findings to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform programme decisions.
  • Adaptability and resilience, demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness in adapting approaches to meet the unique needs of vulnerable children and families in challenging situations.
  • Skilled in efficiently planning, executing, and monitoring projects, with an ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities under deadlines in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with an ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.
  • Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency.
  • Experience in developing M&E frameworks, tracking programme performance indicators, and managing partner reporting processes is a strong asset.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing cash transfer programmes for children and families, such as social protection transfers, sectoral cash/voucher assistance, or multi-purpose cash, is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in establishing and maintaining productive relationships across programme teams and with UN agencies, NGOs, and community-based organisations to foster collaborative, child-centred programming.
  • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
