2Pi-Jobs is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer – MEP Systems to join our team in Qatar. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in tendering, cost estimation, and bid preparation for large-scale Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in preparing competitive and accurate estimates for complex construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with technical specifications, contractual requirements, and project timelines.

Job Responsibilities

Review tender documents including drawings, BOQs, specifications, scope of work, and contract conditions.
Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, ELV, and BMS systems.
Prepare accurate cost estimates, pricing schedules, and complete bid submissions within deadlines.
Issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors, and evaluate technical and commercial offers.
Prepare vendor and subcontractor comparison reports to support pricing and supplier selection.
Analyze project requirements to ensure compliance with client and consultant standards.
Identify scope gaps, technical clarifications, and bid-stage qualifications.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to validate technical solutions and pricing.
Develop value engineering proposals and cost-saving alternatives.
Maintain updated databases for unit rates, supplier quotations, and historical project costs.
Prepare commercial and technical submittals for tender packages.
Support smooth project handover to execution teams with complete cost breakdowns and assumptions.

Other Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Skills

5–10 years of experience in Tendering / Estimation for mega projects.
Proven background with main contractors or MEP subcontractors.
Hands-on experience in estimating large-scale projects such as.
High-rise buildings.
Hospitals.
Data centers.
Infrastructure.
Hospitality developments.
Industrial projects.

Additional Requirements

Proficiency in estimation software such as:
CostX.
Candy / CCS.
Cubit.
Bluebeam.
PlanSwift.
Strong command of MS Excel for cost modeling and analysis.
Ability to read and interpret MEP shop drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is an advantage.
Working knowledge of FIDIC and standard forms of contract.
