Job Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice and technical leadership to shape alumni engagement initiatives, strengthen program delivery, and align activities with regional priorities and organisational objectives.
• Lead the implementation of the Mekong Leaders Network, regional engagement activities, and scholar and alumni events, including the development of concept notes, scopes of work, and procurement documentation.
• Support the design and management of alumni grants and monitoring activities, working closely with program stakeholders to track results, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with Australian Embassies, Australia Awards managing contractors, scholars, alumni, Australian institutions, and regional stakeholders to design and deliver impactful engagement initiatives across the Mekong region and Australia.
• Identify and apply lessons learned and good practice from regional and multi-country programs to strengthen scholar and alumni engagement activities and support continuous program improvement.
• Develop and oversee high-quality communications, reports, promotional content, and engagement materials that align with DFAT requirements, MAP branding, and communication protocols.
• Collaborate with program and communications teams to showcase scholar and alumni achievements through compelling stories, media content, and stakeholder communications.
• Champion GEDSI principles and ensure all scholar and alumni engagement activities are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with DFAT safeguarding standards and PSEAH requirements.
• Proactively identify, manage, and escalate program risks, ensuring compliance with risk management, child protection, and safeguarding obligations across all engagement initiatives.
