DT Global Asia Pacific is seeking a Senior Finance and Bid Cost Analyst – who will support DT Global in our Manila office for a period of six months to cover a maternity leave vacancy. This Corporate role will form part of the Sustainable Infrastructure (SI) team and will work closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders such as the SI Bid team, SI Project Managers and Project Accountant, and APAC Finance team.

The SI team manages multi-lateral development banks (ADB, WBG etc) and bi-lateral funded (DFAT, AIFFP etc) infrastructure projects throughout the Pacific Region. Our Projects include upfront engineering and safeguard designs from feasibility design, detailed design and procurement support all the way through to Construction Supervision and Contract Administration.

The role will focus on both developing financial proposals and on-going support of SI projects’ forecasts and budgets, and other analysis tasks. You will report to the Finance and Operations Manager (Commercial Advisory).

The successful candidate must be able to start immediately.

Job Responsibilities

Design and administer the bid financial spreadsheet. Compile each financial proposal in a timely manner to meet client costing guidelines and deadlines.
Work with the bid team and Finance and Operations Manager (Commercial Advisory) on cost estimation based on target cost approach, and cost improvement actions to reach tender cost /target price and to improve overall competitiveness of the bid.
Prepare the Project Budget Master file based on the cost structure of the bid and Head Contract’s financial schedule after Head Contract is signed.
Lead the preparation of corporate budget/forecast templates and assist in the production and analysis of financial tools/reports and operating metrics to measure financial and non-financial performance useful in decision-making.
All other costing, forecasting and analysis duties.

Other Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineer, Transport Planning or a related field.

Skills

At least 5 years’ experience in bid costing and/or analyst role.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite especially MS Excel (e.g., power queries, nested functions and formulas, pivots, charts, Macros), mandatory.
Strong analytical skills
Strong attention to details
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
Experience in transport economics, ability and/or interest in all or some sub-sectors, including aviation, ports, railways, roads and urban mobility will be an asset.
