Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Merchandiser to lead our merchandising team in developing and implementing effective merchandising strategies to drive sales, profitability, and customer engagement. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the retail industry, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute merchandising strategies to meet sales, margin, and inventory targets
  • Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to inform merchandising decisions
  • Collaborate with buyers, planners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution of merchandising plans
  • Lead and manage a team of merchandisers, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and internal partners
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform merchandising strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in merchandising, preferably in a retail environment
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing effective merchandising strategies
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with merchandising software and systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in merchandising, preferably in a retail environment
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management and supply chain

    • Ability to think strategically and make informed business decisions that drive sales growth and profitability.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Experience with merchandise planning and inventory management systems.
  • Experience and Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Fashion, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandise planning, buying, or a related field.
